The Herbal Homestead began with a simple curiosity about the plants people have lived alongside for generations.

What started as an interest in herbalism quickly became something much larger. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became by the traditions, stories, skills, and knowledge that have been passed from one generation to the next through gardens, kitchens, and home apothecaries.

Here, you'll find traditional herbal preparations, botanical history, folk traditions, foraging inspiration, plant profiles, old-world skills, and practical ways to deepen your relationship with the natural world.

I am less interested in trends and more interested in preserving the knowledge that once lived in herb journals, tea stained recipe cards, well loved books, and carefully labeled apothecary drawers.
